Saguaro Lake and the Desert Belle Cruise in Arizona
Last weekend my husband and I took a scenic drive up to Saguaro Lake, about 20 minutes from Mesa, Arizona. We'd taken the Power Road exit off 202 and dined first at a wonderful little restaurant with patio called Pacinos. We'll go there again.
Saguaro Lake has more than 22 miles of shoreline. It has created a "getaway" world of boating, kayaking, sailing, skiing, jet skiing, fishing and camping. There's even a restaurant at the marina.
We had signed up for the music cruise with The Desert Belle. They've been cruising the waters for over 50 years, so they certainly know the area!
Timely with Covid-19, participation was limited. We had less than 40 people on a 146 passenger vessel. We comfortably sat on the front bow and followed guidelines when entering the main cabin during the pandemic. They offered a snack bar with beverages and cocktails for purchase as well.
They offer many cruise packages: Narration, live music, sunset wine, special events and charter cruises. The marina location is at 14011 N Bush Hwy, Mesa, AZ 85215
Ivan Harshman was our musical entertainment, highly recommend . We've decided to make this a yearly event.
