June 2, 2012 Night Hike - Things to do in Marana
National Trails Day is fast approaching!
June 2nd, the American Hiking Society purposes to inspire folks to discover, enjoy, and learn about the wonderful opportunities we have to celebrate our outdoors. National Trails Day seeks to celebrate with trail dedications, work projects and educational opportunities held each year.
If you're looking for things to do in Marana, residents and visitors to Oro Valley, Marana, and Tucson should meet on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton at 6:45 p.m. at the Wild Burrow Trailhead, 15000 North Secret Springs Drive, Marana.
The 5-mile hike takes place in the Tortolita mountains and starts at 7 p.m.
This year's theme is “America’s Largest Trailgating Party.” If you'd like a t-shirt, they will be available in limited quantities at the event for $10. Otherwise, the hike is open to the public and a free event.
Enjoy the balmy evening temperatures and starry skies this year for National Trails Day, in Marana, AZ. Be sure to bring plenty of water and good hiking shoes!
