Maximizing Your Social Media Time with "Newspapers"
I learned a new "trick" today from Missy Caulk. I was hesitant to venture in ANOTHER direction in Social Media, because I feel sometimes like I'm clicking and joining and following and digging and stumbling and am so busy making work that I'm not doing work.
But this seems different.
I'm on Twitter and have made lists so that I can find what I WANT to read quickly. I've got real estate lists of tweets, as well as marketing, personal interest, Tucson and Arizona Contacts, Active Rain contacts, etc. It helps me maximum time when time is short. If I don't have a blogging idea, a few minutes on Twitter and the Tucson, AZ group will send me to lots of articles and tidbits of information. It isn't all about personal tweets saying, "I'm washing my hair now..." etc. There's a wealth of information on Twitter as professionals endeavor to "offer value" to their readers.
So, I went to http://paper.li and clicked the Create Your Newspaper Free icon. It took me to a second page where I could choose to get the daily updates by either my Facebook account friends, Twitter membership, Twitter List, or Twitter #keyword

For my use, I made one newspaper out of my Tucson, AZ list, and I made another newspaper out of the keyword Tucson. I just want to start small. I did try the keyword Marana, but it didn't pull up much this first try.
What does this do for me?
Well, every 24 hours, I'll get an updated newspaper delivered to my email inbox. After the "newspaper" was created, I hit the "subscribe" button. If I find I don't like it, I can cancel my subscription - no biggie!
Again, what does this do for me?
Ready information. No hunting through Twitter feeds, Facebook updates, etc. for a quick capsule of what's news, what's happening, what's current.
Every night I receive a news brief that gives me top Tucson stories according to the News channels, local papers, and even local blogs. Now I'll also be receiving my "personal" newspapers.
Seems like a win-win for a short amount of invested time. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, I invite you to maximize a little time yourself! Subscribe to your own creation of daily news.
If I can assist you in your home buying or selling in Marana, Tucson, Oro Valley, or Vail, please don't hesitate to call me! Email at swdeserthomes@aol.com
