We had an inspection this week and the buyers were visualizing their furniture and trying to decide how to make the house their home.
I always enjoy my buyer's processes as they discard a formal dining room here, add a den here, turn a bedroom into an office, and so forth.
It's important to plan your living spaces to reflect your own priorities and lifestyle. If you are never going to have a large dining room table - why not turn the room into a game room, a music room, or media space?
One of my husband's favorite spots of our home involves his man cave. He got a new bow-flex for Christmas, something he's wanted for four years, and we spent a few hours making his cave JUST so. He says all he needs now is some Yankee's wall decor!
Whatever your floor plan - make plans to accommodate your family and favorite activities. Whether it be a guest suite, in home office, or a Man and His Cave - Making your house into your home is key.
