When Will We See You Again??
I love when clients ask me that. I get that warm feeling in my stomach and a little glow all the way through. It means I've done my job well. My clients feel special. They feel a connection.
So what happens after close of escrow? How do you stay in touch with your clients-that-seem-more-than-clients? After all, they've opened their dreams to you, shared their story and situation, revealed confidential information about themselves. And if you, as their REALTOR®, have shared as well - you have a connection.

Do your closed clients go on "automatic drip?" Do you send them a copy of their HUD-1 at Happy New Year and place them on your newsletter subscription list for infinity? These things are important, but what about one-on-one?
Have you connected in other ways? Twitter, Facebook, MySpace? I've found a great deal of my clients have a facebook account, and it's a great and easy way to stay "in touch". How easy to share comments and "updates", and fairly personal as well!
I also like to send the occasional hand-written note, or stop by with a little "something".
Some of the things I've done to stay in touch are:
- I have clients from the Green Bay area, and I visit there myself. I've brought back Wisconsin Cheese and Natural Casing wieners indicative to the "area" in the last two years and dropped by with some for them!
- A Christmas wreath for folks who celebrate the day
- Hand-made picture cards of the area, or areas my clients moved from, for sending personal notes
- Dinner/Lunch/Coffee
- Birthday and Anniversary cards
- Refer them! If they have a professional trade that I can pass on to other people -- I do! (Roofers, plumbers, electricians...)
Recent clients had dogs that loved "Turkey Treats". You can bet I'll be stopping by to see what they've done with the home, with treats for the poodles!
What are some of the ways you stay in touch with your former clients?
If I can assist you in your home buying or selling in Marana, Tucson, Oro Valley, or Vail, please don't hesitate to call me! Email at swdeserthomes@aol.com
