I am Wide-Eyed before Everything Wonderful

To me, the only way to negate all of the fake stories, alarmism, pessimism, and just plain awful news events out there and great each day with a fresh start is to focus on the things that give me hope, or that bring me joy.

Happiness Optimism Hope

About thirty years ago, a friend of mine named James shared some words I recently came across in a box of mementos.

They especially resonated with me and I wanted to share them with you.

     Humility teaches me everything.

     I open myself,

I open my ears to listen

I open my eyes to see

...I am wide-eyed before everything wonderful.

For today, I hope you can be wide-eyed before everything wonderful.

Happy November folks.  2017 is rolling to a close

And to James (whom I called Green Eyes)....I remember you dearly my friend. Thank you for the inspiration.

Mr. Sandman, Bring me a Dream…

It's interesting. I couldn't sleep this week, so I did what I often do when the sandman is out to play -- I get up and write blogs. I posted one about 1:15 a. m. and was surprised to see that within 20 minutes or so, over 30 folks had read that blog… more
