Belly Buttons, Drug Stores, Batteries, and Forrest Gump
Is there anyone out there besides me that finds it amazing how many Walgreens, CVS, and other drugstore companies are being built? I mean, how many can there be? Even more fascinating is seeing them build kitty-corner from each other at an intersection.
I came across an email today that mentioned top items NOT to buy at drugstores, and thought it was pretty interesting. I mean, there's got to be a reason why they keep proliferating, and maybe this is why.
So...on the list are the following items:
Eye care Products
Office or school supplies
Over the counter medicine
Photo prints (really?? I always buy them here)
Toys and games
In looking over the list, I found quite a few items amazing. I mean, after all, this is a drug store but we should purchase our prescriptions, over the counter meds, and eye care elsewhere.
Stores like Sams, Costco, Walmart, the Dollar Store...or online for photos (Snapfish or Shutterfly, for instance)
Of course, when I read that list I think of all the Walmarts out there as well.
I don't know about you, but it just seems strange how CHAIN store America is becoming. Every town with enough people seems to have a Walgreens, Walmart, and McDonalds. It's all so belly-button.
Like Forrest Gump always said, "And that's all I got to say about that"
