4th Annual Garlic and Onion Festival - Things to do Near Tucson

With a last name like Mancuso (pronounced, Man - Kew' - So) you can bet I know my way around garlic and onions.  To me, there's nothing like a little Italian food - or make that - a LOT of Italian food, and garlic and onions seem to find their way in most of my Italian cooking!

Meatballs for 100

Imagine my pleasure when I came across news of the 4th Annual Garlic and Onion Festival right here in Arizona at the Agua Linda Farm on June 10, 11, and 12, 4 - 9 p.m.

Meatballs for 100

I got a little excited.  Another road trip - awesome.

First of all, it's cooler, so we'll get a bit of a break from the mercury for the day.  Secondly, it's an event the whole family can enjoy.

Moonlit hayrides, petting zoo, live music, great FOOD...need I say more!  The Garden Grill will be starring garlic and onions in their ready-to-purchase food all night long!

So load up the car on the weekend of June 10-12 and come down for a fun-filled, yummy family night - it's only $5 a car!  Address is 2643 E Frontage Road in Amado, AZ 85645.  Amado is about 40 miles south of Tucson on Highway 19, a little south of halfway between Green Valley and Tubac.

Drop me a line and tell me you're going - maybe we can meet!

If I can assist you in your home buying or selling in Marana, Tucson, Oro Valley, or Vail, please don't hesitate to call me!  Email at swdeserthomes@aol.com

I have a friend that just moved to the Tucson area. I'm going to email her and let her know this is happening. Garlic is my favorite food.

OMG, Cara - how much meat is that?

I've never heard of Amado, although I've been to Tubac.  I hope you have a great time.

I love garlic all ways too, Debbie.  Baked and slathered on toasty bread - mmmmm!

Juli - 40 lbs - made meatballs two ways for our wedding 4 years ago.  The "ladies" and I prepared all the food for the reception of 100. A month before the wedding, the reception hall changed owners and didn't honor their comittments! They decided to remodel and we were "stuck".   It all worked out!!
