Wow, I was looking back at my history today and way back on June 7, 2010, I placed my first personally-written blog post, advertising my own townhome for sale.
How time flies! I did a quick average of how many times I blogged a month, spread over the years, and got 15 1/2 blogs. So, averaging a little over 3 blog postings a week. I've had ups and downs, but in looking at my lead history, I always know that for me -- I simply MUST keep the blogging alive
When I look at 2016 right now, almost 30% of my business has come through from Google. Favorite word according to my personal poll right now? Horse. Why? Because every time someone calls me, I ask, "How did you find me?" SEVERAL in the past 9 months have called because they were looking for horse properties for sale in Marana and my name came up.
Why? Is it the marketing on two different address-specific websites? Is it SWDesertHomes.com? Is it Cara.LongRealty.com? Is it my Facebook? Is it Twitter? Google Plus? Is it any of the dozens of things I do online to keep the word out there?
Here's what I think. I talk to folks often about the power of blogging - IF it is their personality to do so. It can be photos, it can be text, it can be listings....but is it your personality to consistently blog and reach out to others through ActiveRain.com? I say ActiveRain.com because I personally know the Google Power contained within this network brings the public to my entire online algorithm. Or spokes of a wheel as I like to call it. The center of all my online activity begins within ActiveRain.
