I wanted to share the most amazing experience with ActiveRain and the referral system/networking opportunity that we have here in this community.
I love blogging - but often struggle to keep the ACTIVE in the rain part -- we get caught up. But, any time the subject comes up at work, I'm quick to jump on the bandwagon on the plusses and perks of blogging on a regular basis - if that is your skill set! ( I firmly believe that if you are not a person who enjoys writing or a photographer, or have online social media a part of your routine -- then ActiveRain may not be for you)
But...on to the point of my story here. I received a call in April, later in the evening, that hung up before I could answer.
Perhaps an hour later, a referral alert went out for my area. I quickly responded (except the system wasn't working and so I had to do a bit of creative responding) I received an email response:
Hi Cara, Thanks for the quick response. To be honest, I found you yesterday and was going to pass your name along but then thought I would give my family a few options. So, your responsiveness certainly earned you the spot at the top of the list! [The sellers} have worked very hard to get the house show ready. .. I will pass your name along to them tomorrow. I would like to provide them with two additional names just for reference so I will not award you with the referral in AR until they choose. Thanks! Good luck. Mike Reyman
With a little profile surfing, I'd found that Mike was the number that had called that previous late evening. Long story short, I listed the home on April 26. Received and accepted an offer by May 1, and closed on May 25. Whew! So that's the way to sell a horse property!
And the benefits are amazing...
1. I earned a commission I'd have otherwise never received.
2. I got to blog about the horse property for sale on ActiveRain and all of my other social media sites.
3. I got to strengthen my networking community on ActiveRain.
4. I increased my "google power" for keywords, expressly Horse Properties for Sale, Marana, Cara Mancuso. For some reason, I get regular calls for folks wanting to buy or needing to sell horse properties in Marana. They find me on Google through Cara Mancuso and Long Realty.
I know...that's the real power of ActiveRain.
And blogging helps my future clients, and fellow real estate professionals, know me just a little bit better.
